Arcata –warming center remains activated, offering day services only Overnight Shelter NOT OPEN
ALERT 2/13/2025: Severe Weather Event. Based on NWS Eureka predictions for rain, AHP will Continue to activate their warming center offering day services only. Individuals, couples, families, and non-aggressive pets are welcome. HTA has been notified. Bus transportation will be free today to anyone seeking respite from the weather. Volunteers will be needed for all shifts throughout the week and should expect activation notification. Opening Guidelines:
The Arcata House Partnership (AHP) emergency warming center will be activated when any of the following is predicted:
Temperatures at or below 34 degrees
Temperatures at or below 36 degrees when rain is expected
Wind speeds more than 30 mph or winds that create a wind chill factor of 34 degrees
One inch or more of rain and or multiple days of rain.
If one of the above guidelines is anticipated, and there is adequate staffing, the warming center will open.

02/03/2025 -02/04/2025 The Eureka Warming Center is activating Again tonight. 02/04/2025, the upcoming weather event meets the Eureka emergency weather overnight center activation thresholds.
Guests are not to arrive directly at the warming center location. They must meet at a pickup location: Free Meal 6pm; Sacco Ampitheater @ 6:30pm; Hope Center @ 7pm; 14th and Koster @ 7:30pm.Transportation will be provided. Pets Welcome
Opening Guidelines:
The City of Eureka emergency warming overnight center will be activated when any of the following is predicted:
Temperatures at or below 33 degrees
Wind speeds in excess of 40 mph or winds that create a wind chill factor of 33 degrees
One inch or more of rain between 4 p.m. and 4 a.m.
If one of the above guidelines is anticipated, and there is adequate staffing, the warming center will open.

111 Mayfair St., Willow Creek, CA. Warming center will be open Thursday, Feb. 29 - Tuesday, March 5 from 8 a.m.to 6 p.m. Warming center visitors will have access to the internet, an uninterrupted power supply, a warm fire, snacks and bottled water.
Trinidad Rancheria’s The Heights Casino Bingo Hall Warming Center
27 Scenic Dr., Trinidad, CA. Warming center is open during the casino’s regular hours of operation. Warm up and charge devices. Vending machines with snacks, water and beverages will be available. Warming center visitors will be accommodated at the Sunrise Grill or elsewhere in the casino when the Bingo Hall is in use.
Fortuna – EEL RIVER VALLEY

Individuals seeking warmth will be directed to First Baptist Church of Redway, 1055 Redway Drive, Redway, CA. The Warming Center will operate during the day (dawn to dusk).
