Description
During COVID-19 response, still providing services by phone (no drop-ins). Please note: They have been receiving quite a few calls regarding services they do NOT provide including legal services, home care services and housing (they do provide lists of home care providers and housing but not assistance). (Updated 1/5/21.)

Advocacy program serves older adults and adults with disabilities. Programs and services at the Redding office include:
  • Advocates who provide information, assistance and referral, including for housing and long-term care
  • List of low-cost/subsidized senior housing (for $5)
  • Registry list providing names of potential caregivers (for $10) 
  • MSSP (Multipurpose Senior Services Program), a Medi-Cal program to help frail elderly (ages 65 and up) live an independent life of dignity at home by delaying or preventing institutional placement; serves Shasta, Lassen, Trinity, and Siskiyou County
  • Representative payee services and assistance with problem resolution
  • Tele-care service (friendly telephone reassurance)
  • Computer lab at the Redding site.
Satellite office in Burney provides information and referrals (including for housing lists) to seniors and adults with disabilities, along with other limited services.
