Description

Provides assistance to help families and individuals with limited income buy nutritious foods. Many working individuals qualify, along with SSI recipients. Non-citizens may qualify for food assistance through the California Food Assistance Program (CFAP) under CalFresh.

CalFresh is also available for college students who meet their qualifications. Find information online at: www.getcalfresh.org/students.

Provides benefits on an electronic benefit transfer card (EBT card). Most grocery stores and farmer's markets accept this card. To replace a lost EBT card or to find a location that accepts EBT, call EBT Customer Service. Or visit website: cardholder.ebtedge.com.

One can manage and access benefits at BenefitsCal.com.

Please note: CalFresh clients that are evacuated or affected from a disaster in need of food replacement, contact local office to see if eligible. Individuals and families who are not eligible for regular CalFresh may be eligible for Disaster CalFresh food assistance based on qualifying disaster-related expenses.
