Temporary Closure: due to maintenance, the Human Services Agency facility located at 1400 Vanguard in Oxnard is temporarily closed. Drop-off services are available on site. For in-person services, please visit our Community Service Center at 4651 Telephone Road in Ventura 93003. For CalFresh, CalWORKs, CAPI, General Relief, & Medi-Cal: call 888-472-4463 to make an appointment. Visit the website vchsa.org/submit to submit documents and send email messages.

Offers financial assistance to adults who are legal residents of Ventura County who have no other means of support. Eligible adults may receive direct payments up to $310 to their landlords and/or utility companies. General Relief payments are considered a loan and must be repaid.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: -Must be a resident of Ventura County between 18 and 64 years of age with no dependent children.
-Individual may qualify if they are poor, destitute, unable to work due to mental or physical disability, or incapacitated by age, disease or accident and you are not supported by relatives, friends or any other source.
-Must be actively seeking employment if you are able to work.
-Incomes must be within allowable limits, with property value not to exceed $1,000, and available cash on hand and in saving accounts not to exceed $100.

Application Process: Call to apply. An assessment will be completed of each potentially eligible adult to determine eligibility.
