Description

Allows eligible CalFresh recipients to use their electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card to buy prepared meals at participating restaurants. Clients will continue to receive monthly benefits as they do now. Program does not affect CalFresh benefits in any way.

Program Delivery
Eligibility: Must be a CalFresh recipient who meets one of the following conditions:

-experiencing homelessness

-60 years of age or older and his/her spouse

-with disabilities and his/her spouse (Must be receiving Social Security Disability Benefits, Railroad Retirement Benefit Annuities, or Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants)
Languages: Spanish, English
Application Process: Visit a participating restaurant for service. When visiting a participating restaurant, show EBT card prior to ordering so the restaurant can verify eligibility. After restaurant verifies eligibility, purchase meal using EBT card.
