Description
Provides preventive, acute, and chronic health, behavioral health and dental care services. Serves economically or otherwise disadvantaged. Offers a continuum of care from prenatal to adulthood.
Health services include:
- Primary care
- Urgent care for patients (call first)
- Pediatrics
- Sick infant/child exams
- Diabetic education
- Employment, sports, school physicals
- Family planning services
- Foot care
- Immunization services
- Maternity services
- Women’s health exams (Paps, Breast Screening,etc.)
- In-person and telehealth appointments.
SCHC has After Hours Clinician Access for established patients. To reach a clinician after hours, call 530-246-5710 and press 1 for the Nurse Advice Line.
Dental services include:
- Emergency (drop-in) dental treatment
- General dental care. (Exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, x-ray services, and education.)
- Specialized dental services. (Fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, extractions, root canals, and minor oral surgery.)
- Referrals for other dental services as needed.
Please note: There is an extensive waitlist for general, non-emergent dental care. One must be a medical patient of Shasta Community Health Center to sign up.
