Description

Delivers healthcare services throughout Redding to medically underserved populations, including those experiencing homelessness. The van is equipped with two exam rooms for medical or dental treatment. Includes a nursing and intake area.

Medical services include:

  • Examinations and immunizations
  • Preventative healthcare
  • Treatment of acute illness or injury
  • Management of chronic diseases
  • Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections
  • Referral to SCHC mental health counseling services
  • Referral to tattoo removal program. Must be gang and/or human trafficking related.

Dental services include:

  • Dental screening and examination
  • Gum evaluation
  • Cleaning
  • Fluoride treatment and sealants
  • X-ray services
  • Fillings and extractions
  • Dental hygiene education.

Also provides an entry point for the Coordinated Entry System (CES). Links clients to a variety of housing assistance services. These can include rapid re-housing and permanent supportive housing.
