The Placer County Public Health Department no longer sells birth certificates to the public. Please contact the Placer County Clerk Recorders Office - https://www.placer.ca.gov/1709/Clerk-Recorder
• Burial Permits - 530-889-7158, https://www.placer.ca.gov/2978/Burial-Permits If you need to change the location of remains, you will need a new burial permit. A funeral director can arrange this for you, or contact us and we can assist you.
• Correcting or Amending Vital Records - https://www.placer.ca.gov/2979/Correcting-or-Amending-Vital-Records Find out about how to correct or amend a vital record.
• Death Registration - https://www.placer.ca.gov/2980/Death-Registration Death certificates and permits for disposition of human remains are usually generated by a funeral director. You can obtain death certificates from our office or your funeral director can order death certificates for you. Placer County Vital Statistics Office is able to provide certified copies for the deaths in Placer County for the current and prior year.
