The Extended Foster Care Program allows youth to stay in foster care until age 21, as long as they meet eligibility requirements. Program is voluntary. Emancipated youth decides if they want to stay in foster care. Anyone interested will need to meet with their social worker or probation officer, go to court, and continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
