Eligibility:
|
-Must be a California resident AND income eligible (See Eligibility by Federal Poverty Level chart.) OR eligible through a Medi-Cal special program.
Medi-Cal special program eligibility includes:
-Pregnant women
-Children under 21 years old
-Parent/Caretaker Relative of an age-eligible child
-Individuals 65 years of age or older
-Individuals who are blind or disabled
Adult or child in a long-term care facility
Starting 7/1/26: Undocumented adults aged 19 and older only qualify for emergency, pregnancy, or nursing home-related services and emergency dental care.
There will be additional changes to Medi-Cal related to asset limits, eligibility for full scope versus emergency coverage, and paying a premium rolled out through 2028. Visit the County Medi-Cal page for details.

For coverage of more than emergency care, applicants may be required to provide documentation that proves citizenship such as: -Birth certificate, passport, naturalization certificate, or USCIS document -Social Security Number -Social Security card for all persons requesting more than emergency care -Income information (W2 or recent pay stubs) -Proof of residency
